Airlines Lift and Airlink will urge the domestic Air Service Licensing Council (ASLC) next week to suspend FlySafair's operating licence while the council deliberates on their complaint that the company contravenes domestic ownership rules.
However, Safair says it is fully compliant with the law and that its competitors' complaint is a ploy to erode confidence in future bookings.
The complaint will be put to the domestic ASLC on Monday. A similar complaint to the international ASLC (IASLC) was heard on 11 April. The IASL will reconvene for deliberations at the end of next week.
